Coming back from the pandemic
Nov 2021
Our half-day elephant experience was my highlight for Chiang Mai. We fed multiple foods to the elephants, and helped wash them in a very shallow water hole. They were a little intimidating up close, but seemed to avoid stepping on any toes. Plenty of staff made sure visitors didn't do anything stupid.

Full Day Visit
Feb 2021
What an incredible, unforgettable experience! The elephants are very well cared for and their well being is at the center of everything that the staff does. During a time when animal care is not always guaranteed, I felt more than confident in my choice of organization. I went with two other friends on Chinese New Years during COVID-19 so we had the place to ourselves and each had our own elephant, in a way. We had lots of undivided intention with the elephants, got to feed them sugar cane, corn tree stalks, and sticky rice medicine balls that we helped prepare. They fed us a delicious lunch and provided snacks, water, and coffee throughout the day. There was plenty of shaded areas so the hot Thailand sun was not a problem. The organization provided us with scrub-like shirts, shorts, and hats, which was great! The open-toed Chacos were good for the water bathing part at the end of the day, but in the earlier parts of the day, my feet were getting bitten by ants in the field and closed toed shoes to keep my feet clean from whatever I may have stepped in would have been nice. Overall, an experience I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Half day tour
May 2019
We did the half day tour and it was excellent.

We got picked up on time and were quickly on our way to see the elephants. The group wasn't too large for how many elephants. You do get changed into a outfit and you are quickly on to feeding the elephants, before making these fat balls for them.

You also get to go into the water to wash the animals. There are showers to clean off afterwards and the elephants are clearly very well looked after. A fab day

Have fun with gentle giants and learn as well.

This was a dream day. The elephants have come from working and groove on the changes made to their lives. The mahouts care deeply for their animals and it shows. I think this was one of the best investments we have ever made in a vacation event. This could be reason enough to visit Thailand.

Highlight of the holiday
Jan 2020
An oppertunity to interact with these gentle giants in their own environment but only if they want to. Spent the time learning about how the elephants came to the sanctuary and their daily life. Also spent time feeding them and bathing them. An amazing way to get close and observe the personalities and individual quirks of the elephants. Fantastic time in an amazing environment with staff who really care about the elephants they look after.

Highlight of my holiday

An opertunity to get close up and personal with the elephants in their own environment but only if they want to interact with you. This gave us a chance to learn about their story and how they came to be at the sanctuary. Also we were told about the daily life they enjoy at the sanctuary and the medical attention they receive to ensure they remain healthy and happy. To spend time with these gentle giants and observe their personallities and individual quirks was amazing and will stay with me forever. Well worth a visit!!!

EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME
Mar 2020 • Friends
What another amazing experience here in Thailand.
We had the morning session with Woody he was so educated and informative about all things elephants.
We fed the elephants, made elephant medicine and fed again, bathed and had pictures with the elephants.
It was a nice experience because we were worried about the conditions the elephants could be in after hearing things from people about elephant sanctuary’s in general but this one was amazing.
The elephants are left to their own things, Kanta rescues elephants from other sanctuary’s and circuses.
Amazing pictures. Pictures are available to purchase from the photographer on site. She charged us 250 baht for all single photos of us. You can take your own phone in and the guide takes photos and uploads to Facebook after the day anyway.
DEFINITELY A MUST DO TOUR

Emotionally moving experience
Mar 2020
I wasn't sure I wanted to go - I'm not a fan of zoos. This experience was so different! It was clear the elephants loved their trainers and visa versa. Scratching an elephant behind the ears is an unbelievable experience. Put this on your MUST DO list.

Amazing Experience
Mar 2020 • Couples
An opportunity to get up close to the elephants. As we were such a small group, we had plenty of time to spend with them. From feeding them, washing them and taking so many photos it was an incredible day. Very informative, Nine (?) the guide was amazing with them and answering all our questions. Made us feel really at ease! Would highly recommend to anyone, once in a lifetime experience!
