Nice way to spend 2 hours

There are 2 companies doing similar trips and both charge B500, which seems a lot for a 2 hour trip, but there seem to be no shortage of customers so price must be right, but... read more

This river cruise is a waste of time and money. Do not bother. The staff are fine. The actual cruise well, not really much to see on the 45 min journey there and back. Once we reached the destination of the thai farmer house(not real) you will see a few plants in a very small garden been grown. Nothing impressive.... More

We have a 7 and 10 year old and the tour lacked any depth. There is no commentary or information. There is a brief stop at an herb farm for fruit, which the kids would have loved to spend hours exploring the forest. It was expensive and would not recommend - there are better ways to spend your time in... More

There are 2 companies doing similar trips and both charge B500, which seems a lot for a 2 hour trip, but there seem to be no shortage of customers so price must be right, but can't help thinking that they could double the customers if the price was only B400. From our observations Mae Ping River Cruises is a much... More

Cost us 550 baht per person for a 2 hour round trip on a small long tail boat, so would be tempted to call this a farang rip-off. This did not include lunch, only a small fruit platter consisting of pineapple and watermelon upon arrival at the 'farm'. We were both really hungry by the time we arrived, so ordered... More

The cost was 1900 baht for 2 people for a meal and cruise on the Ping River through the center of Chiang Mai. Booze was extra. Duration was supposed to be 2 hrs but lasted about 1.5 hrs. The meal was pedestrian at best. Four dishes served. Sweet and sour veges and fish had very little fish. The spring rolls... More

After visiting so many temples in Chiang Mai we decided a river trip would be different and we are pleased we chose to take this trip. We were collected from our hotel and taken direct to the boat and spent a pleasurable two hours slowly drifting up river away from the city. On arrival we chose the local Chiang Mai... More

This is a very nice and unpretentious organisation which manoeuvres you a way from the busy city center into a very near and yet so different world of a traditional Thai Farmhouse where you get to see the different (realistic) styles of how animals are kept and how they grow a great variety of fruits and produce. Everything is in... More

A pleasant change from the heat of the city is a cruise on the river. It was interesting to see land us and buildings including some traditional houses and some large homes on the banks of the river. The commentary was passable but not inspiring. The farm visit was rudimentary but good to see various useful plants growing there and... More

We fancied a trip down the river and glad we did. There was just the 2 of us so we had the whole boat to ourselves and of course the pilot, an extremely pleasant young man named Dom. If you can choose ask for him he was brilliant and knew everything about the river from the various properties and their... More

We did the 5pm cruise and the river was lovely at this hour, but wear deet! The tour guide Hutch was genuine and friendly and wasn't overly informative which was great. A nice way to spend 2 hours in Chiang Mai.
