The cruise along the Ping River is very pleasant and featured an informative commentary. The farm visit was a highlight - animals and produce on display with a refreshing fruit plate. Chiang Mai offers plenty for the adrenalin-junkie but few slower-paced relaxing activities like this.

Do not waste your money on this. Forget any notions of a romantic dinner cruise. The food is terrible. Loads of vegetables in the sweet and sour but no pork or chicken in it. The spring rolls were cold. There is nothing to see. No wats or lit up monuments on the way. The trip was supposed to last 2... More

Awful trip. The dinner boat cruise lasted barely an hour - not the 90-120 minutes on the Mae Ping leaflet. We spent more time getting from the Old Town to the boat with the shuttle service provided. The food was below average, the savoury dishes were all served at the same time and were already cold when they arrived. The... More

Family and I did the farm cruise. Guide was informational and when we got to the farm we felt very welcomed. The fruit was super good!

Just LOVED doing this! Lovely to see the homes and sites from the river. We added wine and appetizers to add a special touch. Go for it and don't do the big boat....keep it intimate! Our guide was fabulous and spoke super English too.

We had one hour to kill before our next activity, so we took a one hour ride. Apart from some nice houses and hotels along the river, there was nothing much to see. We wouldn't go again.

This river cruise is a waste of time and money. Do not bother. The staff are fine. The actual cruise well, not really much to see on the 45 min journey there and back. Once we reached the destination of the thai farmer house(not real) you will see a few plants in a very small garden been grown. Nothing impressive.... More

We have a 7 and 10 year old and the tour lacked any depth. There is no commentary or information. There is a brief stop at an herb farm for fruit, which the kids would have loved to spend hours exploring the forest. It was expensive and would not recommend - there are better ways to spend your time in... More

There are 2 companies doing similar trips and both charge B500, which seems a lot for a 2 hour trip, but there seem to be no shortage of customers so price must be right, but can't help thinking that they could double the customers if the price was only B400. From our observations Mae Ping River Cruises is a much... More

Cost us 550 baht per person for a 2 hour round trip on a small long tail boat, so would be tempted to call this a farang rip-off. This did not include lunch, only a small fruit platter consisting of pineapple and watermelon upon arrival at the 'farm'. We were both really hungry by the time we arrived, so ordered... More
