What a magical place! So many delightful sights and smells at stalls run by the some of the most friendly people I have had the pleasure of meeting. This night market can get pretty crowded but it never overwhelms; it's lively but feels pretty safe....More

A fantastic night market! Crowded but still not too hard to navigate, packed with locals and visitors alike. The food on offer is absolutely sublime - there are pockets of food stalls at the ends of the markets and in the little side streets branching...More

This was a great market because it wasn't as overwhelming as some others. It was still pretty touristy but a lot less people than say at the night bazaar.

This market seems more authentic than the other ones. Here you can see locals buying all sort of things. The beginning of it is more souvenirs and touristic staff, but you keep walking and it is like any street market in other countries. Food, however,...More

Very very small market compared to the Night Bazaar and the Sunday Walking Street. There is more food than objects, so depending on what you want in a market, maybe it will suit your needs. As for me, my friend and I stayed barely 15...More

Biggest and best night market in Chaing Mai! Lovely location inside city walls. Very busy and relaxing at the same time! Lots of various merchandise for sale, but also restaurants behind with nice seating areas to people watch! Look out for the gelato tuk tuk!

This market has gone from hipster to commercial. Used to be where the lesser crowds will go. But now it seems tourists (especially the ones from mainland China who talk in very very loud voices and behave badly) flock to this walking street every Saturday....More

Great market with many different things to buy. I bought one of the classic paper lamps you see everywhere, at a really good price. As well these lovely soap stone carved into flowers and some miniature painted elephants. Prices seemed fair and reasonable. Can get...More

Yes. It's open daily. There's also the Saturday night and Sunday markets. You won't miss out on any markets in chiang Mai, I promise!

We stayed recently at Bed Nimman in Nimman district, a short tuk tuk or cab ride away (about 100 baht) from the Wua Lei Night Markets. I would highly recommend the Nimman area as it has great food, coffee shops, hotels and... More
