The elephants on the chedi at the back of the temple make this Wat worth visiting. It's in the northeast section of the city, easy to access, and a nice place to appreciate the beauty of Thai temples.

I really enjoy coming to this temple, the oldest in Chiang Mai. I've been here many times and still enjoy gazing at the abundance of beauty, but I more often come here to just rest, relax, and meditate.

It is a nice and quiet temple with relatively less tourists. The elephants tower behind the main temple is very special. It is beautiful.
