The most striking thing of this temple is the degree of carving and detail of the door and gable-end of the temple. Worth a quick look, even if not always unlocked. There are now lots of commercial activities in the temple grounds (e.g., massage, coffee shop, tourist trinkets shops, etc.).

This temple has one of the more impressive chedi with square three layered base with bell shaped top half and gold pinnacle. Also interesting is the entrance to the viharn which together with the gable end is highly decorated. There is also a good library and many fine Buddha images in the courtyard. Unfortunately all the buildings were closed when... More

Only small, but very pretty. I didn't spend more than a few minutes strolling around and taking photos. Absolutely nobody else around, which was almost eerie. Well worth popping in if you're passing by.

Something about this unassuming temple really appeals to me. From the intricately carved timber front, to the ornate chedi and the glittering silver tungs. We always stay at a hotel nearby so every time we pass I love to stop by and soak up the peacefulness. On my last visit there was a lady with birds in tiny cages with... More

Located near the Thae Phae Gate and Wat Bupharam, this wat can be jointly visited with these 2 attractions. The color of the chedi is white, while most temples I had visited in Chiangmai have gold color or brown color of the Lanna Style. I briefly visited the pagoda, took pictures, then proceeded with my walk to the Wat Bupharam.

There are so many temples to see in this area. But it's still nice to wander around and see how they differ. This one advertised a massage area but it was closed when we were there. (It was late at night) There were several food vendors just outside so you can grab a snack or bottle of water.

This temple is very beautiful but the best part is the massage area in the grounds. The staff are very friendly and smile a lot even if they don't understand you. I had my first thai massage here and it was really good - basically an hour of pain and pleasure but a lovely feeling in the end. Also had... More

After seeing so many temples in Chiang Mai, this one held no special distinction. They advertise massage at the entrance. It is located across the street from the Tha Phae gate outside the old city wall area. The staff is friendly and there is a museum.

Just came back from message where we had a lovely feet massage. Staff is very friendly. Although The place is close by The road, it's a little bit hidden behind The temple you can enjoy The view Of The Wat :)
