I like the view of the reservoir although it would have been better if more time was given to jus soak in the view rather than the 15 minutes for photo taking. It would also have been better if the other 3 (non stop) heritage...More

This is a large artificial lake in CMU which also provides its water. Pleasant and serene at sunrise. Good for walks. The CMU buses tourists here during the day so early mornings are best to avoid the crowds.

I stopped by December 2016. I wanted to get a few photos and take in the views. There is a coffee shop so you could come along to relax and unwind for a while. I just rode straight in and parked up on my scooter...More

Ang Kaew Reservoir is located in Chiang Mai University campus, but tourists are not allowed to access the campus by themselves. Tourists must buy the shuttle ticket near the main entrance and the shuttle will bring you around the campus with audio guide. The only...More

Quiet and picuresque sat reading for nearly 2 hours take water and get a Nancy Chandler Map. Can be done with visits to the Huay Kaew Arborteum and the Chiang Mai Zoo (if you must)

Called by the locals, 'Ang Kaew' is the main reservoir in Chiang Mai University where you can be blown away by the best view of Suthep Mountain while watching cool university students chilling around. There is also a nice coffee shop by the reservoir!
