A stunning entrance up to the various Buddha’s. Been before, found this visit all about donations more so than other visits. Donation boxes for everything. Still a stunning place to visit.

Great experience, long walkway up to the Buddha statue, well worth seeing. Lots of small Buddhas which I see the last guy complained about, in reality these represent the days of the week and the Thais pay merit to the day of the week they were born to give them good luck. The large stone was the same say a prayer and if you stand a coin on its edge it gives you good luck.
Worth visiting, there is some tourist tat too but you get that at most religious sites around the world, look at lourds a full street full of it.

The actual Buddha is stunning but the was it is situated with a hodgepodge of other statue, merchandise, and tables and such that seemed to have no rhyme or reason.
The statues need context for visitors. I learned nothing at this exhibit which is a shame as I hoped to get some insights to Buddhism. It’s a big missed opportunity to educate and share the positive message Buddhism expounds.

Nice Golden Statue of Buddha. The location has also been part of many Bollywood Films. Great Photo Point. One of the prominent sight seeing places in Pattaya

Use an hour one afternoon to go to a place with peace and quiet (though you will find one Chinese tour group after the other). See the 9 Buddhas of Thailand, and enjoy the beautiful view of Jomtien and Pattaya.
Walking up there can be a bit strenuous, so go by grab, taxi or songthaew. The walk from the parking lot to the main Buddha is easy consisting of only 40 small steps

I always ascend to the temple when I'm in the area. It's a challenging walk to get there and ascend however the views and the atmosphere make it worthwhile

An enjoyable visit this morning. Many of the Buddha statues have been retouched and repainted during the last year or so. I arrived before the coach parties started to arrive.

Big Buddah in pattaya is a very nice calm and tranquil place to visit. It took me 3 attempts to walk up, as first 2 it rained very heavy.. then 3rd time it also rained, but we carried on anyway and got soaked...but it was worth it. Very chilled and sacred place, but a great tourist attraction too.

We are a family of 4 and looking forward to visit Sactuary of Truth, Art in paradise, Big Budha temple, Jomtein beach and back to hotel.
Which is the best and economical taxi we should take and how to book it?

YOU Won't be able to complete all in one go. Divide it into 2 days Big Buddha Pattaya viewpoint and jomtein beach. Take private tuk tuk from outside hotel road and it will charge you for Big Buddha somewhat between 100-130 baht for 1 way and Pattaya view point is just 500 mtr.
Day 2 sanctuary of truth and art in paradise.

The zipline is approximately 10 minute drive. You can walk to the Pattaya hilltop city park from Big Buddha.

I have a family of 4 with 2 kids ( 10 & 12 yrs old ) , we are staying at A-One royal cruise hotel on beach road. I would like to know what is the best way to visit Big Buddha , should I take a taxi or is it doable with baht bus ? I would also like to know what time of the day is best to visit , pls note that I have a 6 PM Alcazer show already booked for the same day .
Thanks,
NB

Hi. I went with a private driver. But there were buses there. If you go with a private driver you can leave once you’ve finished your visit there. We were there around 9.30 am. It wasn’t quite busy. But still easy to walk around and up the steps to the Big Buddha and lookout. You have to take your shoes off before 10 am and after 4 pm
There are a lot of stalls there Selling souvenirs, clothing ,, sarongs All sorts of things. It was really good
Hope this helps

How to reach big Buddha from LK royal suites hotel Pattaya ... thanks

About half hour walk or 10 minutes by motor bike taxi. Taxis are not metres in Pattaya. So you could try the 10 baht bus going up Soi Buakao or walk to baech road and get a baht bus there. Take a baht bus from South Pattaya rd to Pratumnak and then walk. A taxi would be 200 baht each way and not worth using.

if we go to big buddha by motorbike, then we want to go to pattaya view point, which one better:
1. using motorbike from big buddha to pattaya view point, OR
2. just walking from big buddha to pattaya view point, after finished, walking back to big buddha where i parked the motorbike.
anyway, is there any motor bike parking space in big buddha? thank you very much.....

Do either. I walk but if you are tired use bike. Plenty of parking spaces ..no problem. Both the areas you mention are worth a visit so go to both.
