In its heyday, Dalat Station boasted three arrivals and departures daily. The French built the railway station itself, while the zigzagging tracks were planned and implemented by the Swedish, experts in tricky terrain.

The railway station is free to visit and nice to see. There are old trains and locomotive to see. Unfortunately only from the outside. It's not a must see but a short visit is nice if you are nearby. Only 30 minutes is enough to see everything.

If you have a bit of spare time take a walk out to the Railway Station. They have some old carriages set up out back for you to walk through and see what it was like back in the day. It's nothing mind blowing but the building has been well maintained and is unique.

Railways enthusiasts and tourists will love the journey. Only 20 minutes one way not through the most picturesque scenery but it's a historic railway and feels a unique experience. If you are penny pinching then the rock bottom ticket is fine on a hard bench.

Very nicely kept. Worth seeing the old trains from yester year. Can ride the train 20 minutes out for the experience. Cog's. Fun to do.

It's a lovely Art Deco building. A pity that the "stained glass" is actually just painted. I X think we picked a bad time to visit as there were 2 coach loads of Koreans ignoring the "do not climb" signs and taking their selfies all over the old steam engine. It's just a short walk from the lake so worth... More

The old railway station has a old steam locomotive and carriages. There was also a dining car cafe, but the choice offered was very limited. I am not sure that its worth visiting unless you combine it with a trip on the train and the timings were not convenient for us.

. . . but I might skip the trip up to the temple, especially on a weekend. The temple was teeming with tourists and tour buses. Made it almost impossible to walk the street. The train ride itself offers almost no views that are interesting.

Reading reviews and other material about this railway station, we expected an architectural marvel. To say we were underwhelmed is an understatement. If this is a notable contribution in architecture by the French, I'm not going to bother going to France to see any more of it! Being close to the Da Lat centre, a visit maybe not far to... More

The art deco building wasn't all that great and the interior was taken over by carved wood furniture salesroom and grocery like mart. Funnily enough the stand alone public restroom building had the most architectural charm. Old trains are always fun as is taking photos on rail tracks, but the place was a bit overrun by Chinese tourists during Tet.... More

Visited here as part of a tour. Not much to do apart from look at an old train. The place is ruined by lots of people trying to sell things. Free in but not worth your time really.
