Pelican review We booked 1 night two days on this boat as it is meant to be one of the nicest cruises travelling Halong Bay. When booking I thought the price seemed ridiculous in comparison to costs in Vietnam everywhere else ( expect $400 plus...More

This was the most bizarre and amazing thing we've ever experienced. The boat was pretty lack lustre to be honest, decor was tired but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful all with pretty good English. Almost school like on embarkation, we were told to...More

Ha Long Bay, though busy with tourists, is beautiful. The cruise is a great way to see it. The cabins are decent and the food is good. However, there were a number of issues: *On the 5 hour drive from Hanoi, we were forced into...More

We are a group of four friends who went on this cruise from Hanoi. The transfer pick up from the hotel was on time but stopped for 30 minutes at a hideous gift shop in the middle of nowhere where staff repeatedly pressured people to...More

Hi everyone, Just wondering what the 'day boat' is like on Pelican Cruises? The other option i'm looking at is Aphrodite? Does anyone know what either day boat is like? It seems on a 2 night / 3 day cruise we spend all Day 2 on a small day boat - is it a large boat, or just a small run about with shade? And does it have a toilet on board? I can't see any photos of it anywhere? Sorry such a girl question to ask about toilets!! ;) Thanks, Melissa
