Crowded
Jun 2019
The night market is very huge which have occupied few of the streets. The more impressive was the big crowd along the streets. Must be careful of your belongings and small kids. Some of the stalls selling very unique souvenirs but majority offered clothing. There were variety of choices maybe other night markets wouldn't offered. Be prepared to negotiate the price as the initial price they offered could be very expensive but it depended on your luck. It was one of the highlights of our Hanoi trip ended with a sweet memory.

HUGE

Massive market, felt like it went on forever! So many cool things to look at - food, trinkets etc. Was super cool even in the rain.

Nice stroll if you like busy markets
Jan 2020 • Couples
It's an nice stroll and you can see many different items for sale. Prices and items are geared towards tourists, so compare and bargain hard it you are interested in buying. Be aware of cheap quality and fake brands and keep your money and valuables in a safe place when steering through the crowds. If you are interested in street food, there's plenty of snacks to try! As the market is outside it is weather dependent and can get cold and wet, especially in winter.

Generous Giving It 2 Stars

We have been to many night markets in the Asia Pacific region and this one definitely ranks as the worst. Mainly clothes, footwear, tacky jewellery, sunglasses, mobile phone covers etc. It is not a patch on Hoi An night market. I very rarely give low star ratings but this fully deserves it. Stay away.

Worth a visit
Dec 2019 • Couples
Came here after a recommendation from our hotel receptionist. The night market is really cool and very authentic. It’s really busy but it’s good fun walking up and down haggling with the market traders. It’s definitely worth a visit

Does what it says on the tin!

It's a market and it's dark! It must be a night Market!! Average but then I think all markets are average! Mostly clothes and some food stalls where they have a two tier price scale! It is incumbent upon one to visit these local markets even if it is just to say I went there!

Lively and noisy
Dec 2019
This was my first experience as far as night markets go and I'm comparing it to other places I've visited since then throughout our travels around Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. It's quite noisy, loads of stalls, loads of people, some street food and generic souvenirs. The best way to enjoy it is to find the Peachy Craft Bar, sit on its balcony and look at the hustle and bustle down below.

Massively crowded
Jan 2020 • Family
Chaotic crowd with chaotic traffic thrown into it. Go only if you are comfortable moving in large crowds. Items sold are quite cheap but not of high quality. About 70 to 80% of the items sold are clothes out of which a large majority are brand rip offs. A lot of accessories and shoes are sold as well (again, lots of fake branded items). I have no interest in buying brand rip offs. With a lot of difficulty, found a pair of sports shoes for my daughter that didn't have Nike or Adidas written on it and they were actually quite good. A few places were selling curios and the prices looked quite good. But, honestly, it was a challenge deciding to buy anything in the huge crowd when you're constantly being swept off! I live in Asia and I've rarely seen that level of crowding. It's still a unique experience.

Everything you may want for shopping

This market is a colourful place in which you can find many different souvenirs, cosmetics, textiles, fruits, street foods. It is available Friday and Saturday evenings, I am not sure for Sunday.

Crazy busy & crowded, but fun

The old quarter and night market on the weekend is a must, they close the streets to cars and motorbikes and the streets fill up with families and vendors - it is amazing. We have been twice summer and winter, both were fantastic
