We booked two tours through Hanoi Free tour guides and only had to pay for entrance fees and taxi’s and any food or drink we had. We did tip the guides but felt no pressure to do this. Our guides were very professional, courteous and interesting young adults. Not only did we enjoy each of our two tours but we... More

We stayed for 4 nights and had three excellent guides with us. Thanh,Ly London and Nuyen were all excellent in their duties. Despite of the rain, we managed to visit most tourist attractions. What an incredible non profit making organisation. Our sincere congrats to the Founder of Hanoi Free Tour Guides ! Well done. Alan Wong Perth/Malaysia

Thoroughly enjoyed our full day introduction to Hanoi with Quang and Hoa. Great way to see the main sights with knowledgeable commentary and we got everywhere much quicker being helped across the crazy roads! Interesting discussing things with our guides who were very friendly and great with the kids.

We had an amazing afternoon with our tourguide Thu. She was well informed about the old and french quarter and the history of Hanoi in general. We were so happy that she also shared her personal experiences and thoughts with us! I would highly recommend this tour! :) Thanks again so much, Thu!

Ly, our tour guide picked us up from our hotel on time at 8:30 in the morning. Her English was pretty good and her infectious smile and obvious love for her home city of Hanoi shone through from the first minute. She took us by taxi to HoChiMinh's mausoleum, through the gardens, his house and finally to a quaint coffee... More

Really glad to have tours like that in Hanoi! Our guide Katie was such a lovely girl who spoke fluent English and was so knowledgeable. She was very accommodating and brought us to places we wanted to go and even introduced us to great restaurants which served such yummy food at very affordable prices. Must do!

Our guide was Hien, who very generously gave her time to show us the key historical parts of Hanoi and explain the events of the colonial occupation by the French, the war with the U.S. and the revolution, plus key points about the Communist party. Hien was very well informed and the tour is tailored to your specific interests.

We arrived a day before our Vietnam - Cambodian tour started and had Hằng for a tour of the highlights of Hanoi. It was a miserable rainy day and Hằng took us to sights where we got a flavor of the country and city. She also picked an excellent place for lunch. Her knowledge and English were superior to that... It's easy to tour Hanoi yourself, but it's so much more fun to have a local guide. We were connected with a local high school student whose English was superlative (some of the best we heard during our entire trip). He brought us to sites and gave us a little insight at each one. He also let us tour around... More
