First visit the famous Chau Long Market, then take your wares back to the kitchen to prepare a meal, perhaps street food, traditional Hanoian dishes or coastal cuisine. If you don't want to cook, a five-hour tour of street food and other venues ends with Vietnamese tea and dessert.

I chose this school because of the good reviews and my short messages with a past attendee, Susan. Of the three options (menus) I saw posted, I chose the the BBQ one. I think i'd like the salad one even better. I arrived by taxi at the arranged time, 2:30 (and I was finished eating by 5:30), It turned out... More

Had a great time with 27 year old Ho. He took us through several great authentic recipes with style and a sense of humour, I would hugely recommend.

A cooking class and the HCC was certainly a highlight of our trip! The only cooking class that aligned with our schedule was the street food class, and being a vegetarian I thought this might prove a little difficult. Y was such an amazing host and chef, he went so far out of his way to accommodate my dietary request... More

From the visit to the local market (fried silk worms anyone?) to the demonstration and then cooking some fantastic local food then enjoying it for lunch with the rest of the group this is a "must do" for anyone visiting Hanoi. Well done Tracey and team.

Adorable cafe w/young chefs that teach you how to cook veitnese food. An Austrailian Chef named Tracey Lister owns & operates the cafe & cooking school. Once I arrived we are treated to tea & explanation of the seeds it's made of. Then we went to open market. Wonderful experience that heighten your senses. After we finish cooking your seated... We did the market and food tour, with a guide. This has to be the best way to understand and taste Vietnamese food, a knowledgable cook/guide takes too to a wide range of places, be prepared to walk bit... and to eat, they really mean it when they say don't have breakfast as you start with a big bowl of... Thank you so much to Tracy and the Team for the wonderful cooking class experience. Everyone was willing to give suggestions and answer any questions with their smiles. Would recommend to my friends if they come to Hanoi!

Took the street food course and it was very enjoyable. We have three of Tracey Listers Vietnamese cookbooks, and have tried a few recipes already, so it was great to learn some tricks and to try some dishes we hadn't made. The cooking was well paced with demonstrations followed by your own prep to reinforce the concepts. Lunch followers of... More

I am a Westerner married to a man from Vietnam, and we were in Hanoi for a medical conference that he was attending. I reserved a spot in the Street Food cooking class to give me something fun to do while he was busy. I've learned a lot over the years about cooking Vietnamese food, but this class was an... More

Let me preface this review; I spent 30 years in the food industry. I went to a cooking class this morning where I was the only student. We began the day with a short walk to the market where we went from stall to stall looking at produce, meat and fish. Y the chef explained. We returned to the school... More
