If you are looking for this museum, it has been combined with the History Museum. We learned a lot about the history of Vietnam since the mid 1800's, via photos and their descriptions. As other reviewers say, you must follow the room sequence, then you...More

A well curated collection of exhibits showing the struggles the Vietnamese engaged in to forge their nation including a number of struggles well before those with the French and the Americans in the latter half of last century. Best to come prepared with some background...More

We visited this museum and were very impressed. The museum takes you through a history of vietnam since the french colonisation, using artefacts and photos. There is little information about how they fit into the larger context, but we really enjoyed putting the pieces together...More

The museum has some of Vietnam most important history. The plans are very interesting to look. The English text was a bit boring and badly done.

Although the topic of the museum could have been interested, we thought it was poorly executed. There was a lack of storytelling and providing context for the displays, making it very difficult to appreciate the museum or learn anything in the process

I have no idea why the reviews are so negative. The museum portrays the incredible story of Vietnamese resistance against French and Japanese invaders quite well through a display of important documents, writings, weapons and persons. The museum must be viewed from the first room...More

I love museums of every kind and found this one quite interesting. There are two floors of exhibits: the first of which is dedicated to the process of building Vietnam to become an independent country along with gifts to Ho Chi Minh. The second floor...More

Compared to other national attractions in Hanoi, this was not a good experience. While chronologically well organised, the English descriptions were mostly meaningless and just bad copy and paste jobs. Very, very repetitive with multiple exhibits and photos repeated ad nauseam. What a pity, should...More

This museum catalogs the history over the past century or so and concentrates on different struggles mainly from a military perspective. There are some gaps in the story and parts of the museum's flow are disjointed. The exhibits are somewhat eclectic in nature with an...More
