This museum is so well presented and shows a picture of the individual ethnic minorities of Viet Nam. This place is a Geography teacher's dream. Houses, tools, dress, custom, location...it is all here. The housing behind the museum is superb. Absolutely the best museum of kind. By the way, the gift shops and book store have quality products at very... More

The museum building shows costumes and traditional equipment used for different crafts. There is quite a lot of information about the different groups and the info is in both english... More

We have visited this place museum with the tour guy and we felt it's not good for the arranging city tour in Hanoi-Vietnam because it's takes more time than n there are few places only we can visit. So it's not value for money and better If u can go your self and explore not with the tour agent.

Very interesting and informative. Well set out and easy to navigate. We thought the audio was worth the extra money although everything was labelled in English.

We had a free day and went to the museum of ethnology. It was ok inside but you want to go out if you have time.

We were at the end of our visit and had toured the northern part of Vietnam meeting people from a number of different ethnic groups. We also had the opportunity to stay with different families to see how they lived. We wanted to visit the Museum to learn more about the history and culture of Vietnam. The exhibits were very... The museum of ethnology is one of my favourite museum in Hanoi. It features both indoor and outdoor exhibitions - lots of traditional houses from native people and their tools using for farming, making clothes, etc. A place to spend time in Hanoi.

This is a really interesting museum..Fairly far from the main things in the city Takes one through info on all 54 tribes/groups in Vietnam. Also has a section on other parts of se asia. There are demo houses at the back to show what each groups housing was like. Interesting to learn so much about the country
