This is a great museum to learn more about the different ethnicities of Vietnam. It was interesting and items were well displayed. You could spend quite an amount of time depending on level of interest and if you took time to read the information. Well worth the entrance fee.

We went here with a guide and after looking at the reviews was expected to be blown away. Maybe we missed something or were expecting too much, but found this place to be a little ordinary. Some parts we found interesting, the park outside mostly. Our guide explained certain building structures for different tribes. Without his company I don't think... More

My time at the Museum of Ethnography mirrored a few books that I have read about this and was an entreaty into the lives of many people whom most people who visit Viet Nam would overlook. I have been fortunate to have been among a number of these ethnicities in their own locale. I was in their homes, their pagodas,... More

The inside stuff is OK, not bad, but nothing that interested me that much. But the recreations of the many different types of houses out back was very interesting. Its worth a visit for those alone.

We took an uber from an old quarter hotel and were very happy to get away to explore the museum. Our 18 month old son loved seeing the houses and we loved the exhibits. There is an awesome park across the street too.

The Vietnam museum of ethnology gives one a fairly good glimpse of Vietnamese ethnicity. The various dwelling houses of people of different ethnic backgrounds is a learning experience of the culture and rituals of the Vietnamese people.

It's a good platform of.understandung the various ethnic group / clans in Vietnam. Their rich in culture is also displayed at the museum. It's one of the best museum I've visited so far in Hanoi. You will never regret visiting it.

This museum goes into a lot of detail on the various tribes and peoples of Vietnam, including their histories and lifestyles. It is interesting for a short visit. I most enjoyed the outdoor area with reconstructions of different kinds of houses, boats, etc.
