The mission of the Museum is scientific research, collection, documentation, conservation, exhibition and preserving the cultural and historic patrimony of the nation's different ethnic groups. The museum also serves to guide research, conservation, and technology that are specific to the work of an ethnographic museum.

This's best of those we visited when in Hanoi. It's very large with many buildings and exhibits of Vietnam ethnic fgroups. Much to learn about Vietnam culture here!

Very informative museum .. set out well .. but hot! Gardens contained real tribal buildings which we could walk through. Had lunch at the restaurant and enjoyed it.

This museum definitely surpassed my expectations. I was never bored the entire time I was there. Truly an educational tour. Should you want to take pictures, you have to pay an extra fee for this. You have to mention this while buying your entrance ticket...More

We visited this with our lovely guides from the Hanoi free tour company. The museum is beautifully set up with lots of space to walk about and learn about the different ethnic groups in Vietnam. All exhibits had descriptions in Vietnamese, English and French. Expect...More

this museum was educational as I had no idea that there were so many different tribes in Vietnam. From the traditional dress, to the various construction techniques in housing to the music. It was both inside and outside, outside having reconstructed buildings and homes

When you visit Hanoi, shouldn't miss Ethonogy museum, it was nice, I saw a lot of things about Vietnamese ethics -there cuture, the clothes....I really like it. very worth to spend time!
