My partner has just left the military so when we walked past the museum and spotted the outdoor display of tanks we decided to go in and take a look around. The display of vehicles and weapons is really interesting and it was nice to...More

Interesting! Beware at 11:30 you are out of all buildings. Everyone goes to lunch 11:30 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. Staggered lunch hours are unheard of I guess. Shows the warfare history of Vietnam from ancient China's Dynasties to present day as a socialist country. Plenty...More

Museum houses a broad range of different artifacts with many large pieces on display. The bias is understandably anti-imperialist/US as would be expected, but its not too heavy handed and you can still enjoy looking at the various displays for an insight into the military...More

Wasn't a place I planned to visit but our guide took us there and it seemed rude to say I wasn't interested. Came away with a better understanding of just how much the Vietnamese were used as a pawn in the power game between USA...More

Visited on a recent trip to Hanoi. Would recommend going if you are interested in history. The old aircraft outside was particularly good

This was one of a couple museums I cobbled together during a walk around Hanoi on a Sunday. Outside the museum is quite an assortment of military vehicles, bombs, misled and aircraft. They are in fairly good condition. In the center of the outdoor display...More

Interesting but nothing out of the ordinary. Huge display of actual military vehicles, planes and helicopters used in their various wars. Exhibits in doors with buildings throughout the area of the museum. Displays and exhibits of various equipment and memorabilia in & outdoors!
