I really wanted to see the water puppets but didn't know what to expect. It was a bit strange but I actually really enjoyed it. It's 100,000VND and the theatre is lovely. I'd definitely recommend it. Just go with an open mind.

We went to the water puppet show after dinner one night and it was fun to see. It went on for a little too long but the work was impressive. Would have been a better experience had people not taken photos and videos the whole...More

The Tuong Theatre performance is a step back into traditional Vietnamese music, dance, storytelling and costumes. The performance runs twice per week on Monday and Thursday nights and lasts for about an hour. It's in an easy to reach location, and is worth seeing. The...More

It's kinda a must see place, however, I didn't quite get the story as everything was in Vietnamese language. Some parts of performance were quite straight forward, but other parts would require some explanation. Performers are really talented.

You can experience the difference but in my opinion it is so boring specially for young people. Should try something else in Hanoi

We enjoyed the show - for what it was: something unique to Vietnamese culture. It is worth it - only lasts approx 50 mins which is enough time to enjoy the puppets and be amazed at how they operate them - and not too long...More

It seems like half the reviewers are writing incorrectly about the water puppets (different theatre and performance entirely) or are mad about pricing. It was 150k dong which is less than $8. It's not an expensive show and I think it's a nice cultural experience...More

A wonderful collection of few smaller performances across various segments (a play, a well solo performance, a music performance, a traditional tale in the form of dance drama). Apart from the music and costumes, the highlight was the undetered enthusiasm of the performers in the...More
