- We made a call before going to buy tickets. When we reached there less than 15min after the call, the staff told us that the tickets have been sold out. We explained that just now we made a call, they said it’s still available....More

Get a seat near the front! It's hot in the last row, but the AC is great in the lower sections. Entertaining, even without knowledge of Vietnamese language. 6 musicians and 7 puppeteers create a memorable evening.

Water puppets were apparently first conceived by rice farmers who carved them and gave performances during the down time between harvesting one crop and planting the next. There is an orchestra of 6 live musicians and singers to accompany the brightly colored puppets. The songs...More

I don't think many would put this on their bucket list when traveling, but if you want an unusual experience, this is it. Used for storytelling, the puppet show was filled with a lot of action and live music. Personally, I think the live music...More

This was a very interesting cultural experience. Given its history as a story-telling form in Vietnam, it’s worth seeing but it is exactly what it says it is. A quick 45 min puppet show. It had about 16 small sections, each a different story. Enjoyed...More

This is great for children, as it is fun and simple. The whole show is in Vietnamese, which made it hard to follow. However overall for the price it was a unique and fun night.

We bought tickets the same day (friday) and got very good seats in front. Our kids liked the show even they did not understand any Vietnamese. It would be lovely to see ”behind the scenes” material!

Lovely little theatre the show includes live music and singing and the puppets are very colourful. There are several different stories all in Vietnamese with now translation but that just adds to the charm trying to figure out what's going on. Show only lasts about...More

Absolutely loved it. It's in Vietnamese so unless you speak the language you don't know what they're saying, but the puppets transcend language. It's pretty easy to understand what's going on. It's a quaint little theatre only a short walk from District 1 and you...More

I really enjoyed the 11th century old Vietnamese cultural show with live music of local musicians. Interesting to know about the olden days cultural shows.

Lasts maybe a bit less than an hour. Probably cheap enough that you could leave early if the child gets bored. About $US7 or £UK5. Enjoy if you go, try and get seats near the front for best view.
