No doubt the nature is untouched and the scenery was satisfying. But what we were unprepared for was the hike through the forest. We didn't expect to be crossing rivers that came up to knee-length and to jungle swing across certain obstacles. We thought it...More

This is a national park not far from Hue which provides many scenic trails of various lengths. Most people go with an organized group. Since it is not what I enjoy doing, I went by scouter and the ranger suggested two very scenic trails where...More

Absolutely fantastic tour with a great guide. A really beautiful place out there with lots to see. You cannot take personal vehicles up there so I would take a tour or brave the 4½ hour walk up. Take a look at TNT travel tours.

Great tour, with an English speaking guide who had no problem communicating with us. We got to see the viewing platform, 5 lakes and waterfall, and even swim in one of the lakes which was great. Lunch is provided and veggie options available too, pick...More

Being someone who left England because I hate being cold, we visited here through TNT tours and it was cold and raining all day. Despite the rain the trek is amazing, the wildlife and walking through the rivers although quite strong during the rain. If...More

We chose the difficult path but it was manageable, couple of slips but nothing too crazy. We were very fortunate it was sunny, I can see it being quite slippery in the rainy months. Come prepared for a workout!

We had a wonderful experience today going on a tour with TNT to Bach Ma. It was a challenging trek but our guide Jacky was very helpful. He is also very funny and heads up for the driver too. The nature is amazing. Really a...More

We went on a day when the heavens opened and it poured for all of our 10km treks, but we loved every minute of it. We saw it as it really is - a tropical rain forest, and it was amazing. The waterfalls are beautiful,...More

Hi Travellers! Will be traveling to Vietnam at the end of April and will be in Da Nang for 4 nights. Me and my partner want to go to visit Bach Ma for a daily tour however it appears that the majority of the tour organiser reviewed on TA organise these tours from Hue. Having myself look around, I have found different info. It appears that it is possible to reach the park by bus from Da Nang however the bus just drop the tourists off at the info Center which is about 3 kms from the main entrance. Then to reach the top of the mountain it takes approx 21 kms. Therefore highly recommended to get a transfer to the Hai Van Pass to enjoy the view and maybe walk down till the falls to jump into the refreshing water. Prices are a rip off for food, accommodation and it appears that a transfer from the Info center to the top costs 20-30 USD. My question is: What do you recommend? Where the trials start? I am more than happy to consider your comments and suggestions bear in mind that wherever is the most suitable starting point I can organise eventually a private transfer. Thank you

My advice: join a tour. Twenty dollar or so for a day tour is bearable. Without a tour, you have a good chance to get lost in the jungle. Private tour has no advantage: usually the private part is only transfer, while the... More

I noticed someone has already asked this question - but with no response... thought i would try my luck again. I will be travelling with my partner next year and he isn't as in to roughing it as i am, so we will spend a couple days in Bach Ma before going somewhere a little more luxurious but i was wondering about accommodation super close or in the park? can anyone give me some advice from experience?

In the park, they have Bach Ma Villa (Think that is the name) not far from the river. They were also renovating the Morin at the top, but that would probably be expensive if already open.
Hello, I have read that some tours take ppl from Hue to Hoi An by private car passing tru the National Park. Since i have plan to go from Hue to Da Nang by scooter on my own, is it allowed to drive tru the park with private scooter?
