Simply because I have never seen anything like that in my life, it was worth a visit. I was taken there by locals that treat this place as some mystical place and place of worship. It is fascinating; fire comes out of the mountains covered with snow. The fire is burning hot to stand by, but you can quickly touch... More

The place is nice and attractive But unfortunately there is nothing but fire There is no restaurant or coffee shop near it. The weather was too cold and ground covered with ice and it was wet and sloppy

I visited Baku on one of the rare occasions it decided to snow for the weekend!! However Yanar Dag was still burning despite that! I must admit I expected the whole mountain to be on fire but despite the fact it wasn't I still found this phenomenon quite impressive and was glad I'd seen it!!

It's just a little fire coming out of rocks. You can also walk the stairs up the hill to see the village, and that's it! I went there today and it's honestly not worth the visit or the money spent on transportation.

i'm against some rude comments, in fact the fire it's just in small area (like 2 meters) but it means a lot for me as a visitor of Azerbaijan, I knew that Azerbaijan is the land of fire, and one of the reasons of going to Azerbaijan is to visit this place, the fire is something unique. A translator was... More

There is nothing interesting on the place except of gas flare coming out of the rock. Of course it should be more interesting if you hire guide. I recommend you to go to Ateshgah first because it is more tourist attractive and at least you'll get more information why Azerbaijan is "Land of Fire", after that as a prove of... More

I have never seen anything like this, it was fascinating to watch. Our guide threw water on the fire and it went out briefly and the rock went bright red! It reignited virtually instantly and produced black soot. It is definitely worth a visit as it helps you understand the whole fire concept in Azerbaijan and why the olden day... More
