This is a must visit place to understand Bangladesh's freedom struggle. In addition you will get the idea of Bangla culture and traditions. There are discounted tickets for SAARC country residents.

The size of the museum is moderate. However, if you want to understand and know the history of Bangladesh, you will hardly find any better place than this. Don't forget to visit the section of liberation/war, that one is mindblowing!

It's got some of everything. So skip the sorts of things that don't interest you. Some halls are really great. Some are not so great. I especially appreciated the history of independence - very moving.

Interesting in places, particularly recent history and some of the many sculptures and items recovered from historic sites. Let down by trying to cover everything, including bird life, sea life, etc, which were a collection of poorly taxidermied creatures.
