We were a little disappointed becuase most of the sliver floor was covered by carpeting, but the architecture and grounds were worth seeing.

Apart of our cultural visit we needed to see the Silver Pagoda and hear the story for our guide. Interesting and good to visit as part of a Phnom Penh tour.

Silver pagoda is a part of the Royal palace complex, and also the most beautiful part of it. It bears its name after 5000 silver tiles on the floor, but you see only a small section of them, the rest is covered with a carpet. Apart of that, highlights are the Emerald Buddha (a copy of Bangkok's one) and gold... More

In the Royal Palace complex you can also visit the Silver Pagoda. The admission is included in the general ticket to the Royal Palace. This Pagoda is beautiful and so a lot of people take picture of it.

This was a nice section of the palace. We were a bit disappointed there were no pictures allowed since there were so many beautiful budas inside. Also, it was difficult to appreciate the silver floor since so much was covered by carpets and those not cover d needed polishing. Definitely something to see while at the grand palace.

One of the highlights of our indochina tour. The whole royal palace is spectacular and the silver pagoda is the pinnacle. The gold and diamond Buddha is sensational.

There are quite some impressive displays and treasure collection inside the pagoda. It's helpful to have a guide to explain everything to me when visiting the palace.

This site is in the Royal Palace grounds, it is a little difficult to find but just follow the other people or tour groups. It is well worth the effort.

This pagoda is next door to the Royal Palace and is part of the visit to the palace. If you're lucky you may hear the monks chanting and don't forget to check out the silver floor.

Thank Andrew W
