I always make it a point to visit the market place in a new city to immerse into its way of life. It is no different in Vientiane when it is a must to visit the market place for a first hand knowledge of local lifestyles. The Vientiane Morning Market is supposed to be located at the Talat Sao Mall... More

A Lively "fresh" market of veg, meat, fish but basically nothing more that we had seen elswhere. If you have seen it before then there will be little for you here.

This is a boat stop just to say we had been to Laos. Nothing but another Market with Snake wine and Lion Penis Wine. We could have skipped this trip for sure. But I have b een there. I am sure that the country has more to offer than the Market but that was all that we saw.

Nothing special. We went there hoping to find something genuine but this market has very little to offer. Better try night market close to river side

Normally, morning market at Thailand and other asia country are very interested. That's why we decided to book a hotel near to morning market. We are disappointed as the morning market selling 100% local products. We are looking forward for some local snack and dessert, however, we could find anything which is interesting. If there is chance to come back... More

Went here with a couple of friends, and I was a bit disappointed with the product offerings. Go to the second floor to see clothes and other lifestyle items. Learn how to negotiate the price before going here.

Please, be warned that the jewelry stores in Thalat Sao display gems that are real and cheaper but when you finally select one the owner or manager will take your order personally and disappear for a few seconds behind the display cabinet and come back to you with a smile. The item he will give to you is no longer... More

We always find markets interesting so enjoyed our time at the morning markets. There are cheaper markets around, but this has a wide variety of goods. It runs all day but local shop for fresh goods early. It's really interesting to look at the produce etc Lots of good food if you are not fussy. Some parts are second-hand stalls.... More

This is the best place to eat to support the locals . You exchange kip for coupons . Pay for food with coupons . Order food and find a seat .. they have an expeditor to bring your order .Food is great !!! So many options to choose from. If you are a germ freak .. bring disposables. Otherwise they... More
