We had a great morning in the fresh food market with Nouk. She collected us from our hotel in a tuk tuk and off we went! We love exploring markets by ourselves but having Nouk there made our experience more enjoyable and informed. After collecting some ingredients we had a Lao coffee and then a tuk tuk to Nouk's garden... More

To start off, I want to mention just how great Nouk's team is. Simon, the man who manages the online reservations, is just lovely! When my nightbus arrived later than expected, he did everything in his power to enable me to come to the class. Without his help, I would have definitely missed out on the lovely day that I... More

I booked the package deal, morning market tour + coffee + cooking class, which is 55$. I took other cooking classes before and I expected the same, or similar activities but it was just disappointing. The market tour was almost meaningless. The instructor gave us some information about local ingredients but most of those information was neither interesting nor informative.... More

Just had an amazing cooking class with Nook. I highly recommend this class for anyone no matter the level - the skills needed are quite basic. I went with a friend who can't really cook and he loved it as well. Nook speaks very good English and is very friendly and chatty which makes everything run smoothly. We made steamed... More

We did a market tour, had a coffee and headed out to the 'village' into the garden of a house for our cooking course. My mum and I had decided to do this together to take home some cooking skills (we have made some of these recipes at home). An excellent day with some fun cooking and learning - and... More

In July 15, I (aged 64) and female companion of similar age, travelled from Vn to Laos, entering at Vientiane and exiting at Attapeu Province in the south east. We flew AirAsia to BKK in the morning then took a taxi to the BKK central station for an afternoon connecting train to Nong Khai in NE Thailand. It's situated across... More

You need to book this tour at Full Moon cafe in Vientiane. We were picked up by our tour guide (sadly I forget his name). We were shown around the morning market. What an experience this was! I've learned so much about rice vegetables, tropical fruits, meat and insects! After the market we went to a village south of the... More

We loved the food and had a great time cooking! The only downfall was the interaction part, we got to chop vegetables but for any of the cooking part we were limited and didn't get to really be involved. Probably wouldn't do it again.

This is a very nice way to spend the first half of your day in Vientiane. The day begins shortly after 8 am with hotel pick-up, followed by a tour of one of the large markets where you get an overview of local ingredients. Afterward, it's a short tuktuk ride to where the cooking class is held. Nearly all the... More
