Many similar ones all over north east Asia . But in Vientiane, it is worth a stop. Was 40 degrees on the day I was there. Please enjoy the pics

There's just something about this place that is so beautiful. Right in the heart of the craziness of the city, once you walk into the grounds, everything just seems so quiet and peaceful. It's definitely a sight to behold. Basically you pay a little entrance...More

It situates in the most crowded street but when getting there, you feel very calm and quite. This pogada closes around 5pm. Better shots with panorama apps.

I am fascinated with the history of this place but presently it just didn't have the appeal it once had. The temples in the surrounding area are worth a visit.

Nice site, although a bit out of the centre. Good to combine with the Patuxai monument and park bt then still quite a walk

Massive quadrangle surrounding the Golden Stupa. You cannot gain access to the Stupa itself. Pleasant walk around the covered walkways, statues and images of Buddha. One cabinet of broken statues that had been gathered up around the countryside.

When grounds are sacred you can feel a presence of higher powers no matter how do you call them. Architectural master pieces of past are still grand.
