Wat Chan or Chantabuli is located on Quai Fa Ngum near the Mekong River. This is an active temple with resident monks. The congregation hall is guarded by a couple of three headed naga serpents whose bodies extend over the balustrades of the staircase. Very nice gardens and well maintained grounds. A less visited temple, it is nevertheless beautiful.

One more temple in Vientiane but the painted wooden carving porch is wonderful. Many temples in a small area.

This temple is along the road next to the Mekong river and close to the nightmarket. Its a pretty big place, well maintained temple and a small garden. Place where you can sit down and relax a bit. As Always you can see beautiful decoration, ornaments and statues..

One of the many temples in the area, Wat Chan is a beautiful place to visit and wander around. The beauty of each of the many temples in the few blocks here is they are all individually beautiful, and feature great art.
