Tamil Muslims are a minority in Colombo. They have their own culture. I visited this place and offered my Asar prayers, It was a spiritual experience for me. Every Muslim must visit this place in order to connect with the Islamic side of Sri Lanka

We passed this mosque when walking to Odel. The noticeable thing was all the birds which sat here and not on other buildings around. They looked like pigeons. If it had not been for the birds I might not have even noticed the actual building.

A beautiful muslim cultural symbol at the very popular Colombo 7 area, right opposite to the Odel, nice clean place and a calm inside property.

Avoid the area at noon time on Fridays because there are crowds and many vehicles during prayer time.. Lots of Beggars hang around there all the time expecting rich people to distribute... More

It is not too easy to get there and the area is pretty crowded. Overall it was a nice and short visit. Plan for thirty to sixty minutes.
