Was very impressed with the range of exhibits and the quality of the information at the museum. Would recommend at the beginning or end of a Sri lankian trip. The museum building itself is beautiful.

A lot of things to see especially about the history of Sri Lanka and the different kingdoms that existed. Gives a good appreciation for the rich heritage of the country.

History of Sri Lanka from ancient times. Each hall presents different periods. Many exhibits and descriptions. All descriptions are in English. Museum is on 2 floors. Entrance ticket is 1200 rupees.

Lovely n well maintained place. Not a big place to visit but worth a visit. The entrance fee for a foreigner is exhorbitent. You may stay preper to take a look from outside. You can challenge photography capability ... Worth to visit as family.

The entrance fee in the museum is 600 srilanka rupees for the foreigners. For srilankans it's very cheap I think 100 only. The rate for camera is 250 separate.
