This is one of the handful of suburbs in Istanbul worth going to. Fun, smart, cosmopolitan, radical. If they can just ban smoking in the tea shops, it would be great. Do yourself a favour. Just go.

Besiktas is near the bosphorus. It hosts many landmarks as the Dolmabahce palace and mosque, the besiktas club and stadium plus many others. The area is full of restaurants ,cafes and shops. It is lively and fun to be in it.

I spent there 3 nights and went there for dinning. It was beautiful near the see and lots of Turkish restaurant. Please be awre of Beshektadh football team fan when their team won they'll block the street
