Emre is a very happy, engaging guy who makes his own jewelry -- beautiful elemental necklaces and earrings and bracelets-- and also has some very interesting paintings and small bronze sculptures. He has a great eye and has created, in my mind, a really cool, seemingly haphazardly put together space, where everywhere you look you see a stimulating eclectic montage.... More

A phenomenal gallery with wonderful art pieces, beautiful jewelry, and tasty espresso. A true Istanbul gem. The gallery owes its charm mostly to its owner Emre, who is highly engaging a pleasure to converse with. I highly recommend this gallery for anyone visiting Istanbul.

Incredible, well-curated shop with a friendly, gracious, not at all pushy owner. I bought a bracelet here and returned shortly after to have it adjusted. The owner decided the quality of the bracelet was not up to his standards and exchanged it for another that I liked more (it cost more as well). Definitely stop by when you are in... More

This shop features many great, unique gifts to take home with you, including handmade jewelry and other art works. It's also a good value, and the service when I visited was exceptional.

Located across from the Four Seasons Hotel in Sultanahmet, this small boutique is easy to pass by. One afternoon as my husband and I were walking back to our hotel, the jewelry in the window display caught my eye -- and I am so glad that I stopped to explore this hidden gem! The boutique is loaded with unique jewelry,... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
