Visited one afternoon. Market was busy. Beautiful lanes and archways and decorated roof. Many stalls - but many selling similar items. Prices vary greatly between stalls ( by 300-500%. Checking multiple stalls and bargaining essential. Some stalls display fixed relatively low prices for some items...More

grand bazaar is really beautiful and historically place but most of retailer shops in this place are really very expensive. I mean they sell normal goods 5 times more expensive that other places in istanbul.

There's nothing authentic about this place. All the stalls sell the same things from China. Hardly anything that's actually Turkish or unique. Sure, if you're looking for a tea set or the plates that you see everywhere, you're going to find them with ease. But...More

We loved walking through the Grand Bazaar. I can’t say you’ll find the best deals here but it’s colorful and you’ll find anything you’re looking for. Be ready to say “no” and negotiate! I wouldn’t miss it.

A great shopping complex of arched arcades with colourful stalls. Literally hundreds of small stores selling everything a shopper or tourist could want from t-shirt and all other clothes, including brand labels which might or might not be genuine, to watches that definitely aren't genuine,...More

Good to say you visited. We couldnt bear more than 5 minutes, and walked down just 2 lanes. The intention of the stall owners is simply to milk tourists for the highest profit. The items sold there can be bought all over Istanbul for far...More

Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the
Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in
search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name
jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed
cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow
streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to
the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the
evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside

I'd say about 3/400 TLR (liras)..but make sure you haggle and bargain. Most of them will give you a really high price for things but will go a lot lower if you haggle. Hope that helped answer your question, if there's... More
