This enormous palace was the Imperial residence of Ottoman sultans for almost 400 years. Although much of the palace is not accessible, the daily tours of the Harem are of great interest to tourists.

A must see when in Istanbul. Gives you a lot of good information about the Ottoman Empire. This is where the Ottoman emperors lived.

I think you should take a tour here as it is quite a complex to negotiate and you can easily miss details. It is a rather beautiful place and the scale of it shows how powerful the sultans were in their day

A place to visit and imagine a different world with different culture. A very beatiful exposition of ear stuff and historical objects. Be prepared to find long lines. But you can buy tickets with good price and skip the line.

Hey, there. It's a walk you will take longer than all the nearby areas, but it's always worth it a walk in Istanbul!
