My two travel companions and I have been lucky enough to have visited Turkey before and so wanted to try a bit of an off the beaten track look into Istanbul and the food that really inspires the locals... we couldn't have selected a better company or guide - knowledgeable, insightful and happy to accommodate our requests. We found awesome... More

I'm a bit late in writing this review but felt the need to add my appreciation of the experience provided by offbeat. We did the orientation tour in May 2015 while staying in Galata. Absolutely first class and highly recommended. Have recommended Duygu to our friends, can't get a better rating!

Istanbul is complicated. With one foot in Asia and the other in Europe, it's home to more than 20-million people. Its two major airports are miles apart, so knowing when and where to go and how to get there (and why you would want to) is highly recommended. And especially so if you're going elsewhere in Turkey, and only have... More

Our first day in Istanbul we met Nejla and she gave us an orientation tour of Beyoglu, helped a lot as we were staying in the neighbourhood so we got our bearings. Nejla was fun, interesting, knowledgeable. The next day we did a foodie tour with Nejla again and it was wonderful to get introduced to all the great food... More

My family did a combination orientation and foodie tour of Beyoglu and it was a perfect day. We started with sampling so delicacies and then walked the back roads and alleys of Beyoglu. Duygu was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and loved to talk about the food, the culture and history of Turkey. I was looking for some music by a... More

What a fantastic way to start our Istanbul adventure, it set up our eating and cultural experience for the rest of our stay. Traveling and meeting people and learning about food and culture is our idea of an amazing holiday. We were looking for an authentic food experience and we got so much more. Duygu loves her home and its... More

We spent a lovely afternoon with Duygu Özay exploring Istanbul. Our guide speaks fluently english and is a warm and special person. We spent 4 hours together and tasted many different turkish dishes. She showed us hidden restaurants and cafés and while enjoying the delicious food, we had the chance to learn more about the turkish lifestyle and culture. This... More

We spent a fantastic afternoon with Necla who showed my husband, his parents and myself all around the the Beyoglu area. Necla had so much knowledge about the area and her English was excellent. We were staying in Beyoglu and did the tour on our very first afternoon and were so glad that we did as we felt less like... More

Our guide, Necla Tepekule, was extremely informative and helpful with are many questions. She showed us the closest grocery, shopping area, and great places to eat within walking distance of our apartment. As the three of us are senior citizens, she was sensitive of our mobility needs suggesting the least expensive but most accessible way to travel to various sites... More

My experience of our trip to Istanbul was transformed by this tour with Duygu. At one point, when we were spending a lot of time at one spot, I expressed concern about that, and Duygu said not to worry, that we would finish the tour no matter how long it took. I didn't really time the tour after that, but... More
