I don’t know about summer or spring but during the autumn/winter period in Istanbul, despite no rainfall or snow during my visit, I was very disappointed by the park. It is very average, like any neighbourhood park in any city. Yes it is relatively bigger...More

It is a beautiful but small park (around 3-4 miles), the views are wonderful, there was some small museum for overpriced tickets but I did not visit it since I was captivated by the beautiful place. You can also use the restroom for 1 lira,...More

We found this ''Rose Garden' by accident while walking around the old city walls. A lovely walk, beautifully kept beds and paths. A nice welcoming cafe too. Very well worth a visit and a chance to see a bronze statue of Kemal Ataturk.

Walking here felt so good, you get off the traffic for while to watch the beautiful trees, the children playing, the fountain shining.

A beautiful park right next to Topkapi Palace for a stroll any time of the day. Impressive old trees, tended green areas and flowers.

This lovely park was right behind our hotel. Walking in it early in the morning was just fantastic. If you have the time visit the museum of science and technology which has some fascinating inventions.

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere

relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to

As per the other responses, Gulhane Park is free to enter and you can take food in with you. I don't know the opening and closing times but was there once in winter in the snow and it was open at about 7.30 am although... More

That's all probably a matter of taste but at that time of year and a few weeks before, there are beautiful flower displays everywhere, from the exit of the airport. Very pretty.
