This museum in Selcuk town has well displayed artefacts from Ephesus and the site of the Artemis Temple. A good film shows a reconstruction of Ephesus as it would have looked.

It was nice and the perfect size for an hour visit. The statues of Artemis were exceptional. Must see.

It is nice small cute museum, you will find the original Artemis statues. I wish over all in Turkey will learn some museumnology and and to displays items since they are so rich in it. Yes I will recomemd it, it is part of the 7 days card museums.

Frankly the museum is the cherry at the top of the cake of the visit of Ephesus. First there is a very interesting 10 minutes video that explain Ephesus, secondly there are the artefacts found in Ephesus that are wonderful: statues and jewellery and pottery. The museum really ties together the sight: you can place the statues in the place... More

The museum holds pieces "rescued" from the ancient site and provides a good context for the peoples and history of the ancient city.

Wanted to see it but needed a break after doing other outdoor sites. Arrived at 4:55pm and it was closing. Seems early if yoh considwr that most people interestwd in this place will often go to Ephesus city first to look around and might not make it right away to th museum.

Many of the sculptures and artifacts from the city are kept here so it's well worth the time to check out. The museum doesn't take too long to explore, maybe an hour or two depending upon how in-depth you want to look at the artifacts, but there are some fascinating pieces, especially the statues from the Temple of Artemis.
