when you're in haifa you have to see the gardens, but wouldn't take a detour for it. try to go in with a (free) tour, times can be found online

Inside Bahai Gardens there are no cafes or restaurants. Very close to the access point there are two hotels with restaurants. Anyway, the visit to Bahai Gardens lasts up to 60 minutes

As far as I know, they don't take any advance reservations. They do it only for large groups. You just need to show up 15-20 min before the start of the tour at the designated place. The address is provided on their website... More

You will not be able to walk the garden on your own. If you enter from the bottom, you will only be able to walk a block or so up, it is the same from the top. You need to take a tour, which is free. It was scheduled... More
