The tunnel is an absolute must unless of course you don't like dark, confined spaces. I strongly advise you stay clear if you are clostraphobic but if you are OK with that and fancy 45 minuites of unbelievable history and experience then go for it! You will spend around 45 scheckles for the video of Davids City and the Tunnel,... More

I took the guided tour and it made all the difference. The tunnels themselves are very interesting, but the history about how they were made, how the area fit into the historic stories, and who worked and lived here are paramount for better understanding. The guide used maps with overlays to show the difference between modern and ancient times, as... More

These tunnels go up and down and some areas are dark and extremely tight ! A woman in our group wore a white sweater and came out with very big brown spots from rubbing against the walls in the tunnels. It was a walk through history. Just amazing!

There are two tunnels, the wet or the dry. Some of group did the wet, I did the dry one. Both are great adventures. You walk through tiny spaces between the rocks. You walk past some amazing archeological digs that are taking place, possibly uncovering the old palace of King David. This is definitely worth seeing.

I went to the City of David on 15 March 2017, there are three types of tickets for most travelers: 1. Guided tour (including 3D movie): 60 Shekels. 2. Single ticket: 28 Shekels. 3. Single ticket + 3D movie: 41 Shekels. (the guided tour is only an extra 19 Shekels, very good value.) I took the guided tour, which starts... More

Our first visit here, our tour guide led some of us through in the dark. And now, it's the only way we can do it! Using your hands to guide you along, and not whack your head on the ceiling when it get's low, it's great to feel your way through. Of course turning on a light here and there... More

The excavations in the City of David just keep getting better. The water tunnels are fascinating for the studious and a fun clamor for older children. The newly excavated drainage tunnel runs 1/4 mile underground back into what is now the "Old City". It is both a Roman engineering marvel and a good workout for energetic tourists like my high... It is a great place to visit during a hot summer day. The tunnel was very cool. It was so amazing about the history of this tunnel and the City of David. A must see!
