We weren't told about the park by our guide, but stumbled upon it on our free time. Wonderful archaeological ruins amid buildings still in use.

Great place to wander around - the mosaics are amazing. Although there were quite a few people around it seemed like a very peaceful and relaxing place to soak up some history.

Well preserved on-site mosaics at Virgin Mary Church inside the Park is a must-see. Also have a good collection of mosaics coming from other sites.

Well worth a look if not just to get a sense of how old Madaba is and also the importance it holds in the old world.
