This holy stone is the eastern cornerstone of the Kaaba, the ancient stone building towards which all Muslims pray. Many Muslims believe that the stone (originally white but now black from absorbing the sins of man) fell from heaven during the time of Adam and Eve.

To kiss or touch the black stone is a near death experience. The rush to kiss a stone is like a death sentence. Feel pity for the meek and the elderly. The Saudi should implement a que system.

It was one of the most memorable moments of my life. Was not able to touch the black stone as I was holding my son and could not get close due to rush.

Too many people wanting to get close, pushing to get in. Makes it difficult to touch/kiss. Near enough impossible.

Mecca is the most important place for all Muslims around the world, where prophet Mohammed got his prophecy there. Annually, people are gathering form every where to do Hajj which is one of the five core elements in Islam.

Was performing Hajj and had the opportunity to touch the stone. The stone is believed to be from paradise and was too white but later turned into black because of people's sins.

May Allah (swt) accept my touch and that of all the believers. Found at the corner of the Ka'baa sent from the heavens to clean the sins of people of Adam (as).
