Housed in a large and beautiful facility, replete with flowing falag or irrigation channels, this museum not only gives history but the Saudi culture. Do not miss the Murhababa Palace, built in 1936 just after unification. It's just aroung the corner within easy walking distance.

I most definitely consider this a must see Riyadh destination. The museum is very well maintained and has thorough coverage of basic history, both in the region and the world. There are also some very interesting artifacts, especially the mammoth skeleton. Very enjoyable!

Website pop-up giving opening hours during Ramadan says museum is open from 10am to 3pm. It isn't - at least not today (Saturday). When I arrived was told museum was closed and wouldn't be open until 4pm!

I really enjoyed my visit to the museum. It tells history from the Muslim perspective which is different from any other museum I have visited before. It was a great learning experience.

A very interesting museum to learn the history of Saudi Arabia and Islam, a must-see when in Riyadh. The museum is well organised, all exhibits have explanations in both Arabic and English. Entrance fee a symbolic 10 SAR.

When compared to other "National Museums" in the region such as the one in Amman or even the Forth in Dubai, the Riyadh Museum really lacks interesting pieces to see, but there is not that much to visit in that city, so let's call it...More

Try internations for social groups (it is a very active website, lots going on), but for the Museum just use Uber, or the Saudi version Careem. Download the app onto your phone, very very easy to use. Enjoy!

Yes, they have bachelor/singles and family time slots for visiting. The opening hours on their website make no differentiation, best call them before going.
