The National Museum in Beirut has a nice collection of items displayed for the visitors, unfortunately it is not huge and not properly marketed. The best items come from the Phoenician era, while other items come from different civilizations that ruled the area. There is a nice artisan shop at the entrance as well, where you can buy special gifts... More

Nice setting and plenty of things to discuss with kids and teens. Even education to adults. Lots of pictures to take.

Not really into museums as a rule and not often on our travel itinerary but as we had some time to kill we decided to visit. Actually amazing relics on display and very interesting education as to the many civilisations that ruled Lebanon over the millennia.

The national museum is a rough gem, it was refurbished recently but did not get the proper marketing to attract visitors. It has an impressive interior and the collection is well kept and displayed. A must visit!

Interesting museum, not too big. On the Rh side of the entrance watch the movie about history of the museum.

Nice very impressive small museum with very old collection. Worth to visit, cost 5000 LE per adult. But you better take a guide inside for 10$, available in English and French.

I was extremely impressed by this museum. It is not large by any means, but the collection is very diverse and well displayed. I went on a weekday with a handful of people and we felt as if we had the museum to ourselves. The entry fee is 5000LL (~US$ 3.30) for adults and 1000LL (~US$0.66) for students (they did... More
