It is a very nice place to walk around. There are a lot of shops in the Souks and also at neighboring streets. Closed to the traffic. There are nice cafe and restaurants and also a supermarket.

Beirut Souks are more than your average shopping mall. The beauty of the old buildings which have been rebuilt after the war to maintain the style of architecture as well keeping some for the memory tell a thousand stories of a glory that crowned Beirut as the Switzerland of the Middle East. Perfect place to get into the Lebanse Old Market! But, it´s not old any longer! After the War, the Lebanese Gov rebuilt the Souk (market in arabic) and made it one of the best place to visit when your are in town. It´s a must see program!

So if you are into shopping then you would head here although the designer brands are all located around here, not actually in here. You will find the usual high street brands here that you find pretty much anywhere, not local goods. All undercover so good if its hot or raining.

Following the Civil war the original souks were replaced by this ultra-modern and ultra-expensive shopping mall. If you like glitz and top luxury brands then this is your place. Else skip it.

Very modern shopping with mist of the european brands you recognise from zara through to chanel. Disappointing bot to see any true Lebanese authentic shops but non the less an impressive development.

The Souk is where you come whether you want to buy a nice and expensive gift or a trendy something to wear or just to unwind and delight your eyes and mind and have a Turkish coffee and why not... a shisha ( a fragrant water pipe). After work I would go there to have dinner in one of the... More
