Great place to walk and shop especially in the evening. So many restaurants and cafés. So many universities including the American University of Beirut. I hate to bargain, but you must especially with tourists.

The AUB is in this area and there are many students. It is always busy and there is plenty to do. It is a fun place to spend an afternoon having food, getting drinks or smoking shisha.
