Whilst in Muscat we caught a taxi to the Royal Palace ( negotiate the taxi fare) although we could not enter it was very impressive and had lovely gardens. Worth a visit.

Nice grounds and a good place to walk around for an hour or so. You cannot go inside, just view fro the gate. It's close to the new Museum, and Mutrah area. Easy to catch a taxi here. Worth a short stop.

You will be amazed by its view. Very clean and simply amazing place. We visited this place by bus from Ruwi station. If you visit this place make sure that your camera is fully charged.

This is a beautiful building and surrounds - you can't go into the Palace but you have a lovely view of the buildings, gardens and the opulent surroundings

Unfortunately not to go inside, not that I am aware of at least - hope this helps.
