While I agree with the other reviewers - this is a safe souk where the shopkeepers are not aggressive and pushy, I must state that this souk is overpriced. Shopkeepers sell apparently old-looking objects (binoculars, compass and other items) but many of these are recently...More

This is a very cool, old souk. What we really liked about it was that the vendors there were not pushy at all! When you go to markets in other countries, the vendors can get very aggressive, but here they were so pleasant! Overall, we've...More

Super Souk and great if you go early before all the crowds! I would imagine it gets very hot so again aim to be there for when it opens. Lots of fabrics, touristy gifts but hunt out the Jewellers section as some beautiful gold but...More

This place is a hall of mirrors. It's like 3 shops repeated row after row after row. Unless you want bad football shirt copies, perfumes or linens give it a miss. It may be big but it's not good.

Muttrah Souk is unlike anything you have seen in Muscat. It's an other world experience. Take all the hustle bustle that Muscat has, take the glittering malls, the swift cars, the fine dining restaurants and then take Muttrah in all it's glory and delight. It...More
