Great looking mosque. We heard this was when one could go to learn about Islam. They also allow services in English.

We went looking for a more detailed cultural experience . What we actually saw was a pleasant room albeit large, with posters also large explaining the Quran. It was very well put together but I was left wanting to know more about the culture besides the religious pieces.

If you want to know about Islam or if you are interesting to learn Basic things of Islam or if you want to convert to a Muslim, FANAR is the right place to visit and explore. Take an appointment and visit any of the Lecturers to start give you an idea about Islam and how to convert to a Muslim.

I went here when I first arrived in the country. They have a nice lobby with informative backdrops and posters, free books and pamphlets, and hold sessions/workshops on different days/times for those interested in learning about Islamic or Qatari history and culture.

Please inform the person who manage the Book Distribution Library to be more polite, courteous and not to be so arrogant. He displayed rudeness and negative attitude when serving visitor. Nevertheless, thank you so much for all the complimentary books given. Jazakallahu khairan!

I learnt lots of interesting facts about history, culture and traditions of Qatar. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. But I felt a lack of interest from them to me once they realized that I was just... More

We learned so much about Islam from the exhibits and a man who worked there named Paul. The displays were interesting and easy to understand for us non-Muslims. Paul explained everything to us from the point of view as someone who practices it everyday. We were offered tea, and it was served by another older man. When the call to... More
