The Wholesale market is close to several other markets and makes for an interesting wander. The wholesale market is exactly that, a lively market selling every fruit, vegetable and herb available in Qatar at the season. You can be helped by a 'man with a wheel barrow' as you make bulk purchases. Next to the market is a great fish... More

Please note that some of the photographs in the Trip Advisor review for the wholesale market are actually of the 'Kilo Bazaar'; there is a difference: The Wholesale Market is where people buy in bulk, the Kilo Bazaar (nearby) is where fruit and vegetables can be bought in smaller quantities, either by the kilo, or by piece, e.g. five apples,... As name says you can get vegetables and fruits on wholesale & retail basis.. But these days, the prices soared like anything also the Veg/ fruits are not mostly fresh and clean.. Now its better to go to big supermarkets like Carrefour/ FFC/ Lulu/ Al Meera etc to buy any vegetables or fruits which are cheaper than wholesale market..

The Wholesale Market is located in Messameir area, Doha- Qatar close to Salwa road. This market is good for bulk buyers as rates will be better than retail shops. Better to visit early in the morning.

It's cheaper than Malls. Place to buy fruits and vegetables. Good to go from time to time especially for big families. If you have no idea about the real cost, they may cheat you. Don't forget to bargain.

Its busy morning market. But it gets busier at winter when qatari farmes produce its own vegetables and fruits. Surley worth visiting to get fresh products from around the world. My favourite is Banana where i get full box for few riyals.

Well worth a visit. The largest fresh vegetable and fruit market in Doha, a hub for all fruits and vegetables coming into Doha. Very traditional market and good place to buy produce from all over the world. Go early to see the bargaining and transactions happening in the wholesale area which is finished around noon. Retail is open till late.

This is the biggest whole sale market. It has all kinds of fruits and vegetables and fish. Its and ideal place to buy stuff for a very cheap rate. This place is not very clean but well maintained. The best time to go is in the mornings.

I went to see the market but maybe it was not time to visit and less information about the market timing. Do not buy from the guys selling out side the market area. More cleaning is required and more information signage needed.
