We came upon the statue justbefore entering the Souk. It is huge with Saladin triumphant onhis horse and surrounded by Crusaders (Unfortunately ) looking in a bad way. Brilliant statue

just OK, it's just a statue that is not old, the statue is next to Damascus Citadel which is worthy of visiting.

I like this statue very, very much and especially at night with the new lighting on it!! It is directly in front of the old Citadel and you better have a lot of space left on your camera...
