Manarat Al Saadiyat is the first art and culture centre of the Saadiyat Cultural District, the future home of Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Meaning "Place of Enlightenment" in Arabic, Manarat Al Saadiyat offers a wide variety of exhibitions, performances, productions, conferences, talks and workshops throughout the day and all year-round. From the Manarat Al Saadiyat plaza visitors can admire the Norman Foster-designed UAE Pavilion, home to Abu Dhabi Art, which takes place every November. At Manarat Al Saadiyat visitors can also enjoy a gift shop and FANR restaurant.

Unfortunately the place does not always have exhibits so you can waste your time when you don't check in advance what are exposed. Overall it is a must- see in abu dhabi

I am not sure that the metro goes there. You may want to check and see if it goes to St. Regis hotel as that is right nearby and you could just walk to it (if it is not May-Oct). Taxi fair is not bad in Abu Dhabi though so... More
