As expected we spotted Al Maqtaa Fort from the very impressive Khalifa Bridge going to and from our hotel on Saadiyrat Island.

Always an intriguing and mysterious structure, it sits on an island between Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland. I know of no tours or any other access to it, sadly.
if you are driving during your stay, i would advise that you drive over this bridge. it is really cool. and you also get brilliant views.
